Students should make sure their passports are signed and stamped when entering and exiting border controls. These stamps will prove the duration of your visit and more importantly prove to the visa official that you have not overstayed your 90-day visit.

UK Students can enter Croatia for a duration of 90 days within a 180 day period. You can enter to complete the following activities during your 90 days:

UK Students can enter Croatia for a period of up to 3 months for study purposes.
Citizens from Australia, Canada, the USA and Japan do not need an entry visa to enter Croatia. However you will need to apply for a temporary stay in Croatia upon arrival.
EU/UK and Non-EU Students studying for a duration of one year are required to obtain both of a long-stay and upon arrival temporary Residence permit.
UK students do not need a visa to enter Croatia to study for a duration of up to 1 year. But they are required to apply for a Resident Permit.
EU Nationals who wish to study for over 90 days must apply for a Student Residence permit.
Non-EU citizens staying in Croatia for more than 90 days are obliged to apply for the approval of the temporary stay for the purpose of studies (dozvola boravka) within 48 hours of their arrival.

Certificate of non-criminal record with apostille (non-EU citizens only coming from non-EU country)
Original and photocopy of the passport or the identity card
All EU/EAA students need to bring their European health insurance card to that is valid during the entire period spent in Croatia.
How to Apply
An application for a Long-term visa (Visa D) is submitted before entering Croatia, at the competent embassy/consulate. If Croatia does not have an embassy/consulate your country, you can also apply at the nearest Croatian Embassy/Consulate. The application for a long-term visa (visa D) is submitted in person.
