Staff Profile

Jan supports the Head of Excellence in Learning & Teaching and the Postgraduate Student Coordinator, with the remit of administering all recruitment, admissions, induction and progression of postgraduate research students throughout their time in the institute.  This involves individual contact with postgraduates, academic staff, the Faculty Graduate School and Faculty Student Office.

Prior to joining Newcastle University Jan worked at the City of Sunderland College as the administrator for the Student Learning Manager team which offered support to students to help them achieve their targets.  She also worked part-time at the National Autistic Society where she arranged training courses for parents whose children had been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
