Hannah Murray
Patient and Public Inv & Engage Manager
Hannah is part of the NIHR/NHSBT Blood and Transplant Research Unit (BTRU) in Organ Donation and Transplantation which is a collaborative research unit between Cambridge and Newcastle Universities.
Hannah works closely with the BTRU's external stakeholders to develop productive research engagement activities. A key aspect of this role is to identify, coordinate and facilitate opportunities for generating research with patient and public involvement for mutual benefit and to make a positive change in society. Hannah is also responsible for building capacity and expertise in public and patient involvement and engagement (PPI/E) across the BTRU and individual research themes.
Hannah has worked at Newcastle University since 2014. Her previous roles have included Clerical Assistant within FMS Research and Enterprise, International Liaison and Communications Assistant for the EU-funded Project RD-ACTION and Communications Coordinator for the rare neuromuscular diseases network, TREAT-NMD at the John Walton Muscular Dystrophy Research Centre.

Working Pattern
The role is 3 days per week. Working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
