As Collaborations Programme Manager my role focuses on the set up and delivery of a new national collaboration focused on Multiple Long-Term Conditions (MLTC). Funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), the Cross NIHR Collaboration (CNC), a new unique initiative designed to make it easier for researchers to look at MLTC, and ultimately improve the lives of people living with MLTC.
Hosted by Newcastle University and delivered in partnership with Leicester University, the CNC aims to bring together the NIHR’s translational, applied and policy research infrastructure to identify common research priorities and work together to tackle key questions in MLTC research.
I am also deputy lead of the AGE Research Group Lead by Professor Avan Aihie Sayer, working closely with the NIHR Newcastle Biomedical Research Centre, Ageing, Sarcopenia and Multimorbidity Theme.
