Background
I am a colorectal surgeon working in Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust. I was Head of the School of Surgery for 10 years until December 2019 when I retired but I maintain my interest in surgical and medical student education. My clinical and research interest is colorectal cancer and particularly the influence of the colonic environment on colonocytes and the risk of neoplasia.
I am currently the lead for the Medicine, Acute Care and Surgery 3rd year rotation at Northumbria Healthcare
