Current Work
PI of CANDO (Controlling Abnormal Network Dynamics using Optogenetics), a multi-site, interdisciplinary project to develop a cortical implant for optogenetic neural control of seizures. See http://www.cando.ac.uk
A neural prosthesis to restore hand function following spinal cord injury and stroke - We are developing implantable electronic devices and surgical techniques for delivering electrical stimulation to the spinal cord, controlled in real-time from neural signals recorded in the brain.
Investigating neural dynamics in waking and sleep - We are interested in the relationships between rhythms in behaviour and sleep, and how these relate to mechanisms of learning and consolidation.
