Our community

We are a thriving community in FMS. Over 1600 leading scientists, academics, technicians and professional staff help to support over 5000 students. We deliver a wide range of subjects for aspiring clinicians and health professionals. We partner with NHS teaching hospitals, including the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman.

Our international campus, Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed) in Johor opened in 2011. It provides identical programmes of study to the UK-based provision. These then lead to the same degrees, conferred by Newcastle University. 

About us

Newcastle is one of the oldest medical schools in the country. We’ve been educating doctors and scientists here since 1834, and dentists for over 125 years.

Work with us

Clinicians

Our Faculty encourages collaborative working between scientists and clinicians. Our Clinical Academic Office supports clinicians and healthcare professionals to grow their research career.

Business and Partnerships

We work with businesses on mutual development, consultancy, knowledge transfer, facilities and equipment, commercialisation and much more. The Faculty offers help to businesses at all stages of development.

Engage FMS
