Photonics applications are ubiquitous. They are important for semiconductor photonic devices. This includes optical data recording and optical pumping of high-power lasers.
We are developing a new field of research in perovskite photonics. We focus on optimising the growth of perovskite solar fiber, and perovskites for waveguide fabrication. Perovskite materials have optical and electrical properties that have led to the development of photonic devices. These can be used to guide, generate, and detect light.
The optical and electronic properties of perovskite make it a unique semiconductor. It will continually gain intensive interest in the optoelectronic field. We can make the device by laying perovskite material on a film, and then measuring its optical properties. We will use microscope slides as the substrate for this film.
Our research relies on measuring nonlinear optic properties for the perovskite film. We are using z-scan measurement. To address this, we will achieve a good perovskite solar cell structure with the highest efficiency of the device. We will study the optoelectronic properties as hysteresis of the perovskite solar cell by using the JV curve.
We will measure the non-linear optic properties for the perovskite film. Our measurements will include its nonlinear refractive index and its two photon absorption coefficient. We will use z-scan measurement. This will allow us to select the most desirable perovskite material for the waveguide’s device demonstrates.
Finally, we will produce the first perovskite photonics devices.
