Project description
We are developing efficient Perovskite solar cells with minimal environmental impact by combining materials synthesis. We are using sustainable approaches, with solar cell assembly and testing. The project focuses on finding an alternative solvent to DMF (dimethylformamide) for perovskite deposition. Additionally, we will integrate lead removal from wastewater into device fabrication.
Abigail undertook her MChem studies at Newcastle University in the p-type group. She worked on characterisation of dye-sensitised photocathodes for water-splitting (artificial photosynthesis). This PhD is a DTP ( Doctoral Training Partnership) position split between Dr Libby Gibson and Dr Pablo Docampo.
