Background

I joined the School of Engineering, Newcastle University in September 2017 after taking early retirement from Northumbria University.

I work part-time, 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday) as a member of the Operations Team based in Reception, 1st floor,  Merz Court. My role includes dealing with a wide variety of queries from both students and staff, booking travel and creating and confirming orders.  I also provide administrative support to groups and committees.

Before joining the University I worked at Northumbria University for 25 years starting as a Shelver in the library when my children were young and moving on to work in Marketing and Marketing Intelligence.
