Ehsan was born in Tehran, Iran. He received the B.Sc. degree from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran in 2012, the M.Sc. degree from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree from the Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Tehran, Iran in 2021 all in electrical engineering. From 2021 to 2022, he worked as a lecturer at the Amirkabir University of Technology. In 2023, he joined the Newcastle University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England as a Research Associate working on the design of a linear generator for wave energy application and the rotary transformer for the electrically excited synchronous machine. His research interests include design, modelling, optimization, and implementation of rotary and linear electric machines for electric vehicle, e-bike applications, and wave energy. He also studies wireless power transfer topologies for electric vehicle applications.
Ongoing research projects:
- Novel flux switching linear generator for the low-speed wave energy application.
- Rotary transformer for electrically excited synchronous motor.
