Reception doors are open Monday to Friday, 08.30 – 17.45 and the Reception Team can also be contacted by telephone and email from 08.00 – 18.00.
Rooms and prices
Kensington Terrace offers en suite rooms in two different sizes - en suite and premium en suite - as well as self-contained studio rooms and accessible en suite rooms.
Facilities include bike storage and an onsite laundrette. All utility bills are included; WiFi is free, and we also provide Personal Possessions Insurance via Cover 4 Students.
Our friendly security staff patrol the area and are available on call 24/7.
En suite
En-suite rooms are available in houses of 7-17 rooms (where 17-bedroom houses include an additional kitchenette), students here share lounge and kitchen facilities. Communal kitchens include a fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave, oven, hob and hoover. There is also a TV shared per flat with a TV license included, however if you use your own electronic device to watch TV you'll need to purchase your own licence. Each bedroom combines a sleep/study space, including a four-foot bed (small double size), desk, small desk drawer unit, desk chair, wardrobe, and shelving. For September 2024-25 applicants, there will be 44 rooms of this type available.

Premium en suite
Premium en suite rooms have more floor space and are available in houses of 7-17 rooms (where 17-bedroom houses include an additional kitchenette), students here share lounge and kitchen facilities. There is also a TV shared per flat with a TV license included, however if you use your own electronic device to watch TV you'll need to purchase your own licence. Studio
Studios are available for undergraduate students, where you’ll have access to your own kitchen and self-contained en suite. Each studio combines a sleep/study/kitchen/dining space, including a four-foot bed (small double size), desk, small desk drawer unit, desk chair, wardrobe, and shelving. Please note that Kensington Terrace studios do not include a microwave in the kitchen. For September 2024-25 applicants, there will be 15 rooms of this type available.
All undergraduate applicants are welcome to choose studio rooms, however, priority is given to students with health needs that require this type of accommodation. If we have any remaining studios after processing these requests, we'll make them available to all students. We encourage you to consider alternative options if you do not have a need for this type of accommodation.

Accessible en suite
Accessible en suite rooms are available in houses of 9-17 where students share a lounge and kitchen which features low-level kitchen work surfaces. There is also a TV shared per flat with a TV license included, however if you use your own electronic device to watch TV you'll need to purchase your own licence. Each wheelchair accessible bedroom combines a sleep/study space, including a four-foot bed (small double size), desk, accessible storage and wardrobe, as well as a wet room equipped with shower chairs, handrails and emergency pull cords. For September 2024-25 applicants, there will be six rooms of this type available.
Please note, accessible room suitability will be discussed with applicants as part of the application process, to ensure a room is chosen that best meets the applicant’s requirements.
