Accommodation Payments

Information regarding applying for accommodation and pricing is relevant for the 2024/25 academic year and will be subject to change for 2025/26 entrants. Updated details will follow in the new year.

Once you've signed your accommodation contract you're responsible for your paying rent. Here you will find the information that you need to choose your payment method and schedule. You can also find out how to pay from an overseas bank account as well as how to pay for our managed partner accommodation.
 
If you’re a UK student, you will receive your student loans in three instalments. Consider setting aside funds for your accommodation expenses straight away, so that you're always able to pay your rent. If you need advice on managing your money at University, Student Financial Support can help.

Is there financial support available?

The Student Health & Wellbeing Service can offer advice and guidance on budgeting, money management, and financial assistance. The Student Advice Centre also provides free, impartial advice.

What payment options are available for accommodation payments?

There are different options available for paying for your accommodation including paying in advance or paying by Direct Debit installments. These options will differ depending on whether you’re in University-owned, managed partnership accommodation, or private housing. Find out more about Payment Methods. 

What happens if I miss a payment?
